Raw Fiction is not currently recruiting. Thank you for your interest and please feel free to 


contact us with questions or if you would like to join the mailing list for future recruitment 

notifications.


Example of last project's call for youth:

Raw Fiction provides the tools young writers need to create their own platform. Youth participants will have 

the opportunity to organize their own literary event or create their own literary publication.


Participants will receive:

  • Workshops from graduate students in Pratt Institute's MFA in Writing program 
  • Curriculum designed to stimulate engaged discussions about literature, identity, community and more
  • Workshops in project management with training in media relations and graphic design
  • A professional environment that emphasizes youth voices
  • Money - all participants will be provided with a generous stipend


When is this happening?

Raw Fiction will run from January - April 2015

Locatation: Brooklyn Public Library Information Commons - Free public meeting rooms

Day & Time: Saturdays 11am - 2pm

Dates: January - 24, 31; February 14, 28; March 14, 28; April 18
